Green hydrogen is one of the most promising energy sources to power hospital technologies and most importantly in rural area hospitals it seems very effective. Public hospitals are civic focus points and have an impetus to lead the clean energy transition. Not only hydrogen is used to power hospital systems but the hospital healthcare energy ecosystem itself can be transformed into sustainable clean energy hubs. In rural areas, hydrogen can be used to couple with energy systems with medicals systems situated on the site and the public can get engaged in the energy system through the use of a vanadium flow battery system. Similarly, other practices such as producing in-house hydrogen peroxide that is used as a disinfectant, and creating backup systems can be executed through medical energy system using green hydrogen energy.
